Josep Vicent - The Film Music Factory

After a lengthy career as a contemporary and classical performer (which includes being a member and the artistic director of The Amsterdam Percussion Group for two decades), conducting world class orchestras and ensembles like Nederland's Radio Metropol Orkest, Michael Nyman Band, Orquesta del Teatro del Liceo, Gewandhaus Orchestra, Orchestre du Teatre de La Monnaie, Orquesta Nacional de España, The King Singers, Orquesta de Kiev, Montevideo, La Coruña, Amman, Residentie Orkest (The Hague)and the Orquesta de la Radio Television Española.

Josep Vicent's career takes off as a new music composer specialising in Theater and Film, having subsequently written extensively for TV and Cinema, creating a unique and personal sound with a big variety of aesthetics.

For his diplomatic and solidarity work as Artistic Director of The World Orchestra, (www.theworldorchestra.org) Josep Vicent was nominated "Cultural Ambassador for Peace" in 2009.

He was awarded the "Excellence in Performance Award of Recognition" in Los Angeles for his work with The Amsterdam Percussion Group.

His Album "Live Emotions" was selected "Best Classical Album of the year" in 2009.

His recent film scores have been: "Los Ojos de Ariana", "Behind the Sound", "Release", "Entre dos Reinos", "Martini", "La Senda".....

In the coming months he will be writing for "El Hombre de Hielo" produced by ERA VISUAL PCA, and the new thriller produced by Trivision, "La Hermandad".
